Commissions

Terms of Service:

In these conditions “the client” is the person, band, brand, firm or company who commissions the services of Thomas Bokler, “Gnoizm” later mentioned as “the artist”.

By commissioning the artist to undertake work “the project” on their behalf, the client agrees that these Terms and Conditions of Trading define the working relationship. All projects, services or goods that the artist may be contracted to produce or provide for the Customer will be subject to the following:

Deposit

The work begins with a deposit in amount of 50% of the total cost of the work that agreed upon discussion with the client.

Payments are made via PayPal “Friends and Family” or via invoice.

The deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances, but the artsit personally guarantees that he will put forth all possible effort to achieve the best result, as he prioritizes quality over quantity.  

Process

After discussing all details and receiving the deposit from a client, the artist begins work on the sketches. Before that, it needs to agree on whether the artist will provide the sketches one by one or all at once. Usually, the clients go with the first option, as it saves time. The artist strives to make all sketches neat to provide the most accurate representation of the subsequent process and final result. After approving a sketch, the work proceeds on drawing the final version of the logo. Throughout the project, the artist will stay in contact with the client to coordinate all important intermediate results and decisions, ensuring to achieve the results that pleases both the client and the artist.

Additional services

If during the work situations arise that require the development of more than three sketches, or more than three revisions, or any other previously unagreed action that necessitates additional time from the artist, this must be discussed and paid for separately. Such situations usually do not occur, but it’s necessary to mention this.

Cancellation / refund

Cancellation of orders may not be made once the creative process has begun, that includes the primary sketches and the development of the project. Under no circumstance should deposits be refundable, no exception.

The client will then be charged for all work completed over and above the non-refundable deposit that will have been made at the time of first ordering.

Copyright

After the post-payment, the client automatically receives the rights to use the logo in any way, but the artist retains the right to publish the logo and stages of the work on his social media and portfolio. If the client requires full exclusive rights, meaning the artist cannot publish the work in his media, these rights can be purchased for an additional 1000 USD.
